Proof that real people met
Notai helps people who are on their own at cafés, gyms and coworks meet someone there who’s up for company. Every real meeting on Notai is a rare signal: two humans, in the same place, at the same time, who chose to meet. Our onchain layer makes that signal verifiable and rewarding, and brings people who have never used crypto onchain through an everyday moment.
Status: the pilot is live. Anonymous “We met” records on Celo are being switched on; the rest below is in development.
1. Verified humans
Every profile can carry a proof of personhood, so the person across the room is a real, unique human. Not a bot, not AI.
- We plug into existing personhood and verification providers instead of building our own.
- Notai keeps only the fact that a person is verified, never their documents or biometrics.
- Verified people get a badge, and places can run verified-only open tables.
2. “We met”, onchain
When two verified people meet at a partner place, they can turn that moment into a portable proof that they really met.
- Both phones confirm the meeting: same place (the scanned table card), same time, and both tap “We met”.
- An attestation is written onchain: two pseudonymous wallet addresses, a hashed place ID and the date. No names, photos, chats or locations.
- Opt-in for both people, every time. The link between a wallet and a person stays offchain and can be deleted.
3. Stars that pay
Stars, our in-app thank-you, become real money: small tips paid out in stablecoins such as USDC.
- Smart wallets with passkeys, created in the background. No seed phrases, and we cover the network fees.
- Instant, global payouts with fees of cents, so a €1 thank-you still makes sense.
- A Star is €1: half goes to the person who receives it, half funds Notai. Cash-out through regulated partners.
4. Proof for places
Partner venues get verifiable proof of real visits and real connections made at their place.
- Totals only, written onchain per place and period: visits, meetings, returning guests.
- Venues can reward regulars and people who meet there, paid in stablecoins.
- Places never see anyone’s identity, photo or chats, onchain or off.
No token
No Notai token and no speculation. Stars are paid in established stablecoins.
Chain-agnostic
The design needs three things: attestations, stablecoins and smart wallets. We build first on the network that backs us.
Private by default
No personal data goes onchain. Only pseudonymous, hashed records, in line with the GDPR.
No crypto know-how needed
People use Notai as they do today. The onchain part runs underneath.
